Members of the Suffolk Police Department served a search warrant in the 1300 block of Spencer Court on Friday and arrested Thomas Rawlings, 79.

Investigators had made several controlled purchases of alcohol from the suspect, city spokesman Tim Kelley said.

Kelley said a “large amount” of alcohol was removed from the property.

Rawlings is charged with illegal sale of alcoholic beverages.
