Police are seeking one or more vandals who went through a neighborhood off Wilroy Road damaging mailboxes recently.
Homes on Williams Road, Garden Lane and Normandy Drive found their mailboxes pulled out of the ground, pulled off their poles or otherwise vandalized earlier this week, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time, Klink said.
Vandalism of a mailbox is a federal crime, and violators can be fined up to $250,000 or imprisoned for up to three years for each act of vandalism.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
