Hunt named an NSHSS scholar

Morgan E. Hunt of Suffolk has been selected as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
Hunt, a rising senior in the International Baccalaureate program at King’s Fork High School, is a member of the varsity cheering squad and serves as secretary of her school’s chapter of the National Honor Society.
She has a cumulative grade point average of 4.0565.
Hunt recently returned from the University of Rochester, where she participated in a weeklong Rochester Scholars program. She plans to major in biomedical engineering when she enrolls in college and ultimately would like to become a doctor.
The NSHSS recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment, according to the announcement.
