The Nansemond River High School golf team improved to 2-0 this week after a 352-389 victory over Oscar Smith High School on Tuesday at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course.

Junior Ryan Fischer produced the low score of the day for NR with an 83. Senior Leo Outland hit an 88, junior Brian Russell contributed a 90 and sophomore Myles Geller hit a 91.

On Monday at Cahoon Plantation Golf Club, the Warriors defeated Deep Creek High School 356-372.

Fischer and Outland each shot an 83, junior Andrew Halmrast recorded a 90 and Geller hit a 100.

Nansemond River (3-3) faces Western Branch High School on Thursday at Cahoon Plantation Golf Club.
