Joseph Terry Booth, 47, of 223 N. Division St., Suffolk, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of Joseph H. Booth and Margrit A. Booth.

He was a 1987 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He was a longshoreman, Local 1248. Joseph was a member of New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Joquanna Booth, of Suffolk; his parents, Joseph H. Booth and Margrit Booth, of Suffolk; foster children, Monique Gore, Terrial Gore, Kearsha Boykins, Curtis Boykins, Keona Gore, Ashley Gore, Howard Gore, Nydaijah Hamlin; one sister, Lynette Smith (Barry), of Suffolk; brothers, Dr. Earl Boone, of Portsmouth, Scottie Boone and Robert Booth, of Suffolk; granddaughter, Ka’leigh Booth; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 609 Spruce St., Suffolk. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Crocker Funeral Home.
