Lynette Carol Merriman, 49, went to be with God Aug. 26, 2014.

She was born in Suffolk on July 2, 1965. She was a resident of Windsor.

She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Niblett, of Norfolk; four children; one granddaughter; three brothers and one sister, Christopher Merriman and daughter Malayla Merriman, Erica Anderson, Courtney Anderson and Troy Anderson III. Brothers are Bradly Williams and family, of Suffolk, Jimmie Williams, of Norfolk, Randy Bagwell, of Suffolk, and sister, Jennifer Bryant and family, of Suffolk.

She passed away after a long battle with cancer.

There will be a celebration of life service Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Smithfield, where she was a member. Family and friends are invited to attend.
