Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ volleyball team experienced a result on Thursday more like what it became accustomed to last year — a straight sets victory.

The Lady Saints defeated host Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.

NSA’s senior middle blockers were effective, as Caylin Harris had nine kills and five aces and Lizzy Fowler added eight kills and three blocks. Senior setter Brooks Gillerlain had 32 assists.

Nansemond-Suffolk (2-0) begins participation in the Endless Summer Tournament on Saturday morning.
