Arrie Dell Wiggins

On Sept. 5, 2014, the angel of the Lord carried home Mother Arrie Dell Wiggins to eternal rest. She was a native of Corapeake, N.C., and the daughter of the late Archie Wiggins and Mary Bell Wiggins. She was preceded in death by Raymond Wiggins Sr. and son, Elder Charlie J. Wiggins Jr.

She was a member of New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries Inc., where she served with determination, integrity and faithfulness in the following capacities: First Senior Choir, president and treasurer of Prayer and Bible Band, Sunday school member, member of the Mother Board and devoted devotion leader.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Edward L. Wiggins (Barbara), of Long Island, N.Y., Raymond J. Wiggins Jr. (Connie) and Harvey J. Wiggins Sr. (Paulette), both of Suffolk; one daughter, Peggy A. Wiggins; one grandson whom she raised, Tyrone Wiggins; two brothers, Bishop William P. Wiggins Sr. (Lula), of Suffolk, and Joe Wiggins, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries Inc., 307 County St., Suffolk, officiated by Apostle Raymond Wiggins Jr. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Cemetery.
