Third suspect in 2012 murder arrested

Police have arrested a third suspect in the December 2012 shooting death of William Kendale Jordan.
Cassius Quamanie Norfleet, 25, of Gatesville, N.C., was arrested Monday, according to a city news release. He was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a statutory burglary, statutory burglary while armed, possession of a gun by a non-violent felon, conspiracy to commit robbery, shoot, stab, cut or wound, use of a firearm in attempted robbery and attempted robbery.
He is being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail, according to the news release.
Jordan was shot and killed Dec. 17, 2012, in his home on Dutch Road.
Akeem Deshawn Lee Lassiter and Michael Jamil Eason, both of Sunbury, N.C., already have been arrested and found guilty in the case.
Lassiter’s sentencing is set for Oct. 22. Eason’s is set for Dec. 10.
