Getting the care they deserve

To the editor:
I am writing you with a concern that I have about the men and women who have served in this country for many years. My concern is that as I travel across the cities of this country I see that more and more veterans are in need of this country’s immediate assistance.
The veterans of this country are homeless even after they have served our great country for many years.
If I may offer a thought, build more housing and providing shelter in the more rural areas of this country. The country regions of the Hampton Roads area have no living assistance for our veterans who have served this country well.
There is plenty of land in these areas for shelter, hospitals and food provisions. The services being built for them could also provide many new jobs so that veterans can also earn a monetary income.
My whole life I have heard it said that veterans are provided many great assets once they return home from service in the military.
I look forward to seeing these men and women come home from service and get the care that they deserve.
