Ethel Mae Bullock, of 119 S. Capital St., Suffolk, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Johnnie and Effie Gill. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Thomas Bullock Sr.

She retired from Planters Peanut Company after 35 years. She was a member of Mt. Ararat Christian Church.

Mrs. Bullock leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Thomas Bullock Jr.; two daughters, Wilma Bullock and Jacquelyn Bullock, both of Suffolk; three sons, McKinsey Bullock Sr. (Linda), Michael Bullock (Shelia) and Bernard Bullock, all of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bullock; brother-in-law, Daniel Bullock Sr. (Gloria); sister-in-law, Elaine Watson (Junius); nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Mt. Ararat Christian Church officiated by Dr. H.H. Murrill. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
