Wilson Lee Perry

Wilson Lee Perry, 81, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 1, 2014. He was the son of the late Dena and Everett L. Perry.

Lee served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a photo interpreter in Germany. He worked for Smithfield Packing and retired from Planters Peanut Co. He had a passion for World War II aircraft and its history. His hobbies were model control line flying and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis; children, Melody Turner and husband, Randy, Dena Walters and husband, Hunter, Jonathan Perry and wife, Cary, Daniel Perry and wife, Paula; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Ray Turner III, Frank Walters III, Carson Perry, Haleigh and Noah Perry; great-grandchild, Miles Brown.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, by Dr. Thurman Hayes Jr. and the Rev. Charles Thompson. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Suffolk, on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, from 7 to 8 p.m.
