The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office is investigating possible human skeletal remains that were located Friday in a wooded area in Carrsville.

The report was received about 1:45 p.m., according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Investigators were on scene and consulting with the medical examiner. No further information was available Friday.
