A police car was involved in a minor fender-bender on Wednesday at the intersection of Duke Street and Brook Avenue downtown.

An officer attempted to stop a vehicle driven by a subject with outstanding warrants, city spokesman Tim Kelley said. The subject fled on foot from the vehicle, and the vehicle rolled backwards into a police car.

There were no injuries, and Kenyatta Benton, 24, of Suffolk, has been taken into custody, Kelley said.

The investigation is ongoing.
