John Anthony Mehalko, 50, departed this life Sunday the 19th of October 2014. Known as John, Johnny, Brother, Uncle, and even Homie/Homey, he lived life on his own terms and left it the same way; he will be dearly missed by countless numbers of family members and friends on whose lives he undoubtedly made a tremendous impact.

Born Saturday the 25th of April 1964, John was raised in Suffolk and later lived in Steamboat CO, Virginia Beach, and called several towns in the Tampa Bay, Fla., area home: Anna Maria, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, and who knows where else.

John is survived by his son, Dillon; his siblings, George Mehalko, Andrew Mehalko, Joseph Mehalko, Curtis Mehalko, Anna Mehalko Byrum and Mary-Evelyn Mehalko Sellars; and nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and friends far too numerous to list here! John was predeceased by his parents, Andrew Michael Mehalko Sr. and Doris Evelyn Coleman Mehalko.

The Virginia Mehalkos thank the Florida Mehalkos immensely for taking care of John — especially niece Andrea and brother Andrew. The family would also like to thank Tiffany Vader and Margaret Klages for their love and support. Our love for John and John’s love for us is not diminished by death or distance. He’s not in a grave; he’s on his next adventure! Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
