An adult and a child were displaced by a fire in their North Shore Drive home on Sunday.
The fire was reported at 12:48 p.m., and units from Suffolk Fire and Rescue began arriving at 12:54 p.m., according to Suffolk spokesman Tim Kelley.
First responders found smoke coming from the front of the single-story home when they arrived, Kelley stated in a press release. They found that a baseboard heater had shorted out and set the living room wall on fire.
The fire was contained to the living room, and firefighters brought it under control by 1:05 p.m.
Engines 5 and 10, Medic 10A, Battalion 2, Ladder 5 and EMS 1 responded to the scene.
There were no injuries.
