The Indian River High School boys’ basketball team played host to Lakeland High School on Friday evening and fell decidedly by a 70-52 margin.

Junior Deonta Knight produced a double-double for the Cavaliers with a team-high 22 points and 15 rebounds. Senior Kenya Latham scored and facilitated on offense, finishing with 12 points and eight assists to go with five rebounds.

Junior Qurante Budd had another well-rounded performance with 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Lakeland (2-0) visits Oscar Smith High School on Tuesday.
