Half of Lakeland High School’s swimming team is composed of new swimmers, but coach of the boys’ and girls’ teams, Beth Brant, stated it was a stronger start than previous seasons.

Lakeland’s boys and girls fell 96-57 and 103-59, respectively, against Oscar Smith High School on Thursday and 109-52 and 79-76, respectively, against Indian River High School on Saturday.
