A Suffolk man was arrested Wednesday on warrants stemming from alleged sex crimes with a minor.

Deandre Rayfel Artis, 21, was arrested on one count of object sexual penetration and two counts of carnal knowledge of a child, city spokesman Tim Kelley said.

The alleged incidents involved a juvenile under the age of 15, according to Kelley. They took place in August and September of this year.

Artis and the victim were known to each other, Kelley added.
