A pedestrian who was struck by a train Sunday morning has been charged with trespassing following the incident, city spokesman Tim Kelley said Tuesday.
The 21-year-old man was walking with his back to the oncoming train, Kelley said. It happened in the 900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard at 11:03 a.m.
“The Suffolk Police Department reminds everyone that being on railroad property, other than a crossing grade, is trespassing and not only illegal but dangerous,” Kelley wrote in an email.
