A woman who had been missing for about two months was located alive Monday in Norfolk, according to the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office.
Elizabeth Pruitt, 29, was found by detectives with the Norfolk Police Department and was in good health, according to the sheriff’s office. They learned she had outstanding warrants from York County for failure to appear and took her into custody.
Pruitt was last seen by family members at Bridges Restaurant on the Isle of Wight side of the James River Bridge on or near Nov. 1. She left the restaurant in a North End Taxi.
There were reports she had been seen in Virginia Beach and on the Peninsula. She suffers from depression and takes heart medications, but her prescriptions had not been refilled during the time she was missing, making the sheriff’s office especially concerned.
