Leading them in scoring was junior forward Aneka Yelverton with 18 points, and junior center Sabre Clegg added 12.
On Monday, Nansemond River took down Boynton Beach Community High School out of Florida with a final score of 62-24, though it only led by three at halftime.
“We started a little sluggish, but we kind of picked it up in the second half and our execution was a lot better,” Mason said.
Clegg led her team with 15 points, and sophomore guard Tashira Burch contributed 13.
On Saturday, Carrollton High School out of Georgia topped the Lady Warriors 54-48.
The Lady Trojans were undefeated at the time and also held a Nansemond River team that had been traveling all day to only 10 points in the second half.
