Schools on two-hour delay

Suffolk Public Schools, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and Suffolk Christian Academy will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday morning, the schools have announced.

At Suffolk Public Schools, before-school child care also will open two hours later than normal, according to its website. Breakfast is not served when schools are delayed, but lunch will be served.

Public schools offering YMCA childcare also follow the two-hour delay, so the buildings will open two hours later than normal.

At NSA, morning care will not be available, according to the school’s website.

At Suffolk Christian, middle and high school students should be in class by 9:50 a.m., according to a post on the school’s Facebook page. Elementary school students should be in class by 10:20 a.m. Before care will not be provided.
