The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team recorded an important win over a challenging conference opponent on Tuesday evening when it topped host Cape Henry Collegiate School by a score of 39-31.

Junior center Caroline Hogg contributed 12 points, nine rebounds and nine blocks for the Lady Saints, while junior guard Harper Birdsong scored 12 points, as well.

NSA sophomore forward Kelly Hogan chipped in nine points and had an outstanding night on the boards with 15 rebounds, seven coming on the offensive end.

The Lady Saints (9-2) visit Hampton Roads Academy on Friday.
