Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

In Tuesday’s 39-31 road win at Cape Henry Collegiate School, she produced 12 points, nine rebounds and nine blocks.

  • Keith Stagg, junior for King’s Fork High School basketball: His team missed him in its 55-53 road loss on Tuesday to Phoebus High School, but he served up an emphatic reminder of what he can do when he returned to the floor in Friday’s 60-49 home win over Denbigh High School. He contributed a game-high 24 points and also had seven rebounds, four steals and three blocks in the conference victory.

  • Aneka Yelverton, junior for Nansemond River High School basketball: She continued to be a key offensive contributor for her team as it registered important conference wins.
