Police make arrests in assaults

Suffolk police have arrested 10 people following three separate assaults on the same victim, two of which took place at school.

The victim, a 16-year-old male, was assaulted twice at King’s Fork High School and once in the 100 block of Wellons Street, according to a city press release.

The first incident took place on Jan. 14 at 3:45 p.m., as students were waiting at the bus ramp at the end of the day. The second and third incidents both occurred on Jan. 23, once shortly before 8 a.m. in the 100 block of Wellons Street and then about 8:18 a.m. at the school.

The Suffolk Police Department Neighborhood Enforcement Team arrested 10 individuals on 40 charges. Eight of them are juveniles, and their names were not released.

The adults are Trayqwon Demico Stallings, 19, who was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, recruitment of a juvenile to a prohibited street gang, and participation in a crime for a gang; and Aaron Demetrius Chalk Jr., 18, on charges of malicious wounding by mob, participation in a prohibited street gang, conspiracy to commit a felony and recruitment of a juvenile to a prohibited street gang.

Charges for the juveniles include an assortment of malicious wounding by mob, participation in a prohibited street gang, conspiracy to commit a felony, street gang solicitation and assault and battery.
