Lottie Mary Lewis, 88, of Brook Avenue, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at her residence.

She was a native of Suffolk and daughter of the late Collins and Mary Hamlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Junious Lewis; son, Leroy Lewis; two daughters, Alberta Lewis and LonaBell Boone; brothers, George Hamlin, Willie Ralph Earl Hamlin, known as Bill. She was a longtime member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She did domestic work and employed by Heilig-Meyers Furniture Store.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Solomon Frank Lewis (Gilbert), Thomas Edward Lewis (Anita), William Earl Lewis, Willie Ralph Earl Lewis “Bill”; daughters, Mary Frances Eley (Robert), Sarah Marie Williams (Leon), Margie Anne Lewis; 27 grandchildren, a host great- and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Susie Mae Hamlin; cousins who were like her sisters, Dora Scott, Elizabeth Rawls; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Rev. Simmons will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 203 Brook Ave., Suffolk. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
