Kakesha Monique Minter, 38, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 30, 1976, to Joseph Coles and the late Phyllis Minter in Riverhead, N.Y. She was a graduate of Riverhead High School.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Minter; grandparents, Katie Emanuel and Rufus Emanuel; and her brother, Maurice Minter.

Kakesha leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved sons, Kayjohn Galloway and Kyreon Minter; her father, Joseph Coles (Lenora); five sisters; four brothers; life partner, Vencellia Major; special aunt, Glory Emanuel; special cousin, Maggie Wynn; and many other family members and friends.

Ms. Minter will be on view today from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Tabernacle Christian Church, and she will be laid to rest in Riverhead, N.Y. The procession will leave from Kakesha’s residence on Saturday at noon.
