In the early hours of Wednesday morning, March 11, 2015, Robert Argustus White Sr., 68, peacefully drifted into eternal rest. He was born in Nansemond County (Suffolk), on March 3, 1947, to the Late Johnnie F. White and Rechetter White.

Robert was a former employee of Kraft Planters Peanuts.

He is predeceased by his parents, Johnnie F. White and Rechetter White; He leaves to cherish his memory: wife: Carolyn White; children: Carolyn Michelle Ricks-Hyman, Wanda “Dee Dee” Ricks, Robert White Jr. (Diane), Lisa White (Terry), Tonya Bynum (Abbington), Anthony White (Simone) and Brian White (Amy); siblings: brother, Thomas James White (Carolyn), brother, Willie White and sister, Elnora “Sister” Sexton (Clifton); aunt: Cora Bell Ricks; and uncle: Edward White; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five nephews, two nieces, and a host of relatives and friends. Special recognition to cousins Mary Francis Myrick and Barbara Jean Butts.

Mr. Wright will be on view Monday from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The home-going service will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
