UPDATED Wednesday 4:38 p.m.: The 4-year-old girl struck by a car on Tuesday afternoon is currently listed in stable condition and remains hospitalized at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, according to a city press release.

“No charges are being filed as the accident occurred on private property, not public property,” the press release stated.

Tuesday: A 4-year-old girl is in critical condition at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters after being struck by a car in the 900 block of Kilby Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at 5:12 p.m. A Chevrolet Cobalt struck the girl in a private driveway, according to a city press release. The driver was a 25-year-old male who was not related to the girl.

She was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and then transferred to CHKD.

The cause is under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time, according to the press release.
