Ronald M. Schnur Sr., 80, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2015. He was a Navy veteran and served as the decedent affairs officer for Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Doris Jean Schnur, and his son, Randy L. Schnur. Ron is survived by his three sons, Dal M. Schnur, of Hagerstown, Md., Mark Schnur Jr., of Franklin, and David E. Schnur, of Mountain City, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary L. Barbee and Sandra Barbee.

The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
