One injured in crash

One person was injured in a Monday afternoon accident involving a car and a lawn tractor.
It happened at 1:18 p.m. in the 6300 block of Godwin Boulevard, according to a city press release. The tractor, which was controlling vegetation on the shoulder of the highway, was sideswiped by a Ford Taurus traveling southbound.
The female driver of the car was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the tractor was not injured.
Both lanes of Godwin Boulevard were briefly closed, then traffic was alternated in one open lane. The road reopened completely about 2:24 p.m.
The accident is under investigation.
