Bulldogs chew up Braves

The King’s Fork High School baseball team delivered a 9-1 blowout loss to host Indian River High School on Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs had 11 hits on the night and were led both offensively and defensively by sophomore Blake Sargent.

With his bat, Sargent went 2-for-4, including a double and a two-run home run, and he had three runs batted in. On the mound, he pitched a complete game, throwing six strikeouts and allowing only one unearned run.

King’s Fork senior Cal Bailey and sophomore Andrew Riddick each added two hits and two RBIs.

The Bulldogs (2-8, 1-0) host Lakeland High School on Friday.
