Edwards started the first race from the pole, at 89.428 mph, and moved out front at the initial green flag. Making his Langley debut, two-time national champ Lee Pulliam started on the outside pole, but gave way to Tyler Hughes in the early going.

Pulliam tried to reclaim the runner-up spot on Lap 16, and he and Hughes tangled in Turn 2. Hughes got the short end of the exchange, ending up planted against the outside wall. Back under green, Pulliam stayed within striking distance until just past the halfway mark.

During the second half of the event, Edwards eased away from the pack. By the finish, his margin of victory had grown to almost a full straightaway. Pulliam, Mark Wertz, Brenden “Butterbean” Queen and Connor Hall completed the top five.
By virtue of his win in the opener, Edwards started on the pole for the nightcap. He motored ahead of Pulliam on the backstretch to take the lead on Lap 1. Following two early caution flags, Edwards and Pulliam bolted from the pack. By Lap 30, they were up by nearly a full straightaway.

Edwards had extended his advantage over Pulliam to almost half a straightaway when the third and final yellow flag flew on Lap 50. On the restart, Wertz made a hard charge at Edwards and then settled into a second-place battle with Pulliam.
Pulliam finally got the better of Wertz on lap 57. By then, however, Edwards was long gone.

At the checkers, Edwards was the winner by better than half a straightaway. Pulliam, Hall, Wertz and Queen tailed Edwards to the stripe.
