Firefighters respond to same home twice in a week

Firefighters responded to a blaze at a vacant Boat Street home on Thursday night for the second time in a week.
They received the call to the home in the 300 block at 11:02 p.m., and the first units arrived at 11:07 p.m., according to a city news release.
The fire was called under control at 11:26 p.m. after firefighters knocked down heavy flames they found coming from a window in the two-story home.
Crews also responded to a fire there on May 2 just before 2 a.m., according to the release.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating both of the incidents.
