Four charged after narcotics raid

Police recovered 129 marijuana plants and numerous other evidence during a search warrant executed Thursday, according to a city press release.
The home in the 2000 block of Meadow Country Road housed a marijuana manufacturing operation, according to the release.
Arrested are William Thomas Smith IV, 52; Christopher Andrew Salkey, 31; Teresa Zobeida Fritts, 28; and Garth Andrew Salkey, 64.
According to the press release, police found 129 marijuana plants, a significant amount of heroin, and items related to the distribution of marijuana.
Also seized were $25,000 in cash, $26,000 in gold bullion, eight vehicles worth about $46,000, bank accounts worth about $11,000, and electronics, clothing and household items valued at about $9,000.
Smith is charged with failure to appear in Southampton County and possession with intent to distribute heroin.
Christopher Salkey is charged with fugitive from justice in South Carolina, possession with intent to distribute heroin and manufacturing marijuana.
Fritts is charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession with intent to distribute heroin.
Garth Salkey is charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin while in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending, according to the release.
