Grand jury indicts 59

A Suffolk man has been indicted by the grand jury on charges he and nine others assaulted a 16-year-old.

Aaren Demetrius Chalk Jr., 18, was one of 10 charged after the alleged assault, which took place on Jan. 14 at 3:45 p.m., as students at King’s Fork High School were waiting at the bus ramp.

Other assaults, police said at the time of the arrest in February, took place on Jan. 23, once in the 100 block of Wellons Street that morning and again at the school less than an hour later.

Chalk and 19-year-old Trayqwon Demico Stallings were the only adults among the 10 charged. The names of the juveniles were not released.

Chalk was one of 59 defendants indicted this week on 145 charges. The full grand jury report is below.
