Two women were hospitalized after a crash on Route 460 Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened in the 2400 block of Pruden Boulevard near Lida Avenue. It was reported at 1:48 p.m. and involved a Toyota Avalon and a Dodge Ram 1500.

The female driver of the Avalon was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by ground ambulance. The female driver of the Ram was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital. Both had injuries not considered life-threatening.

Traffic was alternated in one eastbound lane immediately after the accident, then two lanes were opened as the crash was cleaned up. All lanes reopened at 2:55 p.m.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
