BayPort Credit Union awards scholarships

BayPort Credit Union hosted its annual scholarship banquet on May 21 at the Mariners’ Museum and awarded more than $50,000 to 29 recipients, including two from Suffolk and Windsor.

This year’s banquet honored winners from across the Greater Hampton Roads area and featured Newport News Mayor McKinley Price, who delivered an encouraging speech regarding the rewards of excellence.

MaQuita Manley, of Suffolk, and Emily Lonsdale, of Windsor, were two of the winners of the Directors Scholarship.
