Police investigate shooting

Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital with injuries.
Police were called to the 300 block of Central Avenue in downtown Suffolk at 1:13 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Officers found two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a city press release.
They were transported by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing, and no more details are available, according to the press release.
