Calnesha De’shon Brown

Calnesha De’shon Brown, affectionately known as “Neshh,” 19, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. She was born on April 16, 1996, to Calvin Dorsey Brown and Roshonda Meshell Brown in San Diego, Calif.

A 2014 graduate of King’s Fork High School, Calnesha played field hockey and was a rising sophomore at Norfolk State University. She was a licensed cosmetologist and worked at Hair Cuttery in North Suffolk.

Calnesha’s passion was makeup artistry and writing poetry.

She was a devoted member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

Calnesha leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory, her parents, Calvin and Roshonda Brown; sister, Zanaya Brown; brother, Kendrick Brown; grandparents, Fred L. Cowan, Hazel D. Cowan and Janice Brown; great-grandparents, Lucy Baker and Earnest Fingers Jr.; niece, Kylie Marie Brown; aunts, Katina Gillespie, Fredreca Cowan, Shelia Archer and Stacey Williams; uncles, Albert Archer and Alvin Archer; devoted friend, Naajia Lyons, and many cousins, church family and friends.

Miss Brown’s visitation will take place from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries, and she will be entombed at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
