Catherine Crocker-Anderson

Catherine Crocker-Anderson, 67, affectionately known as “Cat,” passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born March 14, 1948, to the late Luke and Thelma Crocker. She was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Linda Newby, and two brothers, Williams and Andrew Crocker. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and worked at QVC until her retirement.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Robert Timothy Anderson; daughter, Bridgett Crocker-Banks (Thurman), of Woodbridge; stepdaughter and caregiver, Chaney Jennings, of Suffolk; stepson, Triston Savage; three granddaughters, Chynna Savory, Jordan Banks and Mia Banks, of Woodbridge; one step-grandson, Jerriamiah Holley, of Suffolk; sister, Clarine Staplefoot (Paul), of Lexington, N.C.; two aunts, Bertha Mae Powell, of Suffolk, and Ruth Hairston, of High Point, N.C.; uncle, James Stagg, of Suffolk; four nieces, five nephews, seven sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law; devoted friends, Clemntine Powell, Dorothy Riddick and Deborah Riddick; and a host of cousins and friends.
Mrs. Anderson’s visitation took place from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, with a visitation with family from 6-7 p.m. A celebration of life service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, and she will be laid to rest at Christian Home Cemetery.
