The Beaver Lake Ski Club will host the 2015 North Carolina State Water Ski Championships on July 11 and 12 at Beaver Lake in Gates County, N.C.

The three-event competition will include slalom, trick and jump skiing and is sanctioned by the American Water Ski Association.

More than 80 athletes are expected to attend.

Admission is free and concessions will be available on site.

The competition will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Beaver Lake is located on Highway 13/158 in Gates County, two miles north of the Chowan River Bridge, between Ahoskie, N.C. and Suffolk. Swimming is allowed at the lake.
