Carrollton eatery robbed

The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office is appealing for information following an armed robbery at the Bojangles’ restaurant in Carrollton late Sunday night.

According to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Lisa Martin, two black males forced their way inside the Route 17 restaurant and held employees at gunpoint before stealing money from the cash register and office safe then fleeing on foot. The sheriff’s office responded at about 10:56 p.m.

The males were dressed in black, their faces covered with black-and-blue bandanas. One wore red Air Jordans.

The suspects are further described as 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet in height and of medium build. One had a black-and-pink backpack.
