First Sgt. Rodney D. “Dan” Riddle has been promoted to chief of police for Windsor.
Town Manager Michael Stallings called the search a “long and thorough process.”
Riddle has been with the Windsor Police Department for four years and has served as interim chief since late 2013, when former chief Vic Reynolds was relieved of his duties on investigation of misconduct.
Stallings said Riddle “has done an outstanding job in the role of interim chief since his appointment to the position.
“I feel confident in Chief Riddle’s ability to fill the role of chief of police and know that he will serve the Town of Windsor with honesty, integrity and unwavering dedication,” Stallings stated.
