Two arrested in thefts from vehicles

Two people have been arrested following the investigation into a rash of thefts from vehicles from 18 different locations in the Lakeside neighborhood, according to a city press release.
Multiple reports were received of unknown subjects tampering with vehicles in the Lakeside community between July 31 and Aug. 1, with citizens reporting various items stolen from their vehicles, according to the release.
Suffolk police arrested Daylan Malik Wilkins, 18, and Juwon O’Shea Allen, 19, both of Suffolk. They were each charged with 20 counts of entering the property of another, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and four counts of petit larceny. They are both currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
