Carolyn Lucille Hale, 63, of Nansemond Parkway, transitioned on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

She was born to Hattie L. Hale and the late Rev. Walter R. Hale. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Hale Scott. Besides her mother Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Joyce A. Hale (Suffolk), Corinne Hale (Portsmouth) and Linda Hale Williams (Walter), of Chesapeake; brother-in-law, Ricky R. Scott; special caretakers, Claudia A. McMillian; devoted niece, Raachel Bradshaw; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center, 3621 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk. Pastor Trevon D. Boone will deliver the eulogy. She will be laid to rest in Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
