Chesapeake Square will host its first “StrEAT Shopping Night” series, presented by Eat The Streets 757, on the third Friday of August, September and October.

Foodies will feast on an array of locally sourced fares from Chesapeake-area food truck vendors during these events.

“Chesapeake Square is excited to work with Eat The Streets 757 to debut our ‘StrEAT Shopping Night’ series, which will combine great shopping, local eateries and family friendly entertainment,” said Amber Caudell, director of marketing and business development at Chesapeake Square.

“We’re committed to this community, and these events are a great way to engage families, while helping others in need.”

StrEAT Shopping Night attendees will treat themselves to gourmet grub and scrumptious snacks, including small plates, appetizers, handhelds and baked goods from a variety of Eat The Streets 757’s more than 20 routing food trucks.

Popular local vendors include Sofrito, Food Dude, Lucky Peach, Twisted Sisters and Malbons BBQ. Diners will also enjoy a great mix of free family entertainment, including music, inflatables and face painting.

As part of this effort, attendees are encouraged to help support those in need by bringing canned goods as a donation to Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the registration table throughout the events.

Chesapeake Square’s StrEAT Shopping Night events will take place in the Food Court Parking Lot from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 21, Sept. 18 and Oct. 16.  Food costs will vary by each food truck vendor.
