Margaret L. Skeeter, of 2225 Skeetertown Road, Suffolk, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 20, 2015, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born June 6, 1930, and was a native of Ahoskie, N.C. Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Simmons Hall, father, Roosevelt Hall Sr., sister, Gloria Loraine Hall, brother, Roosevelt Hall Jr., and her beloved husband Daniel Skeeter.

Margaret was a faithful member of Mt. Ararat Christian Church and was an active member of the Women’s Fellowship Ministry, Sunday School and a former member of the Senior Choir.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, the Rev. Randy F. Skeeter (Joann), of Suffolk; two sisters, Loretta Bresloff, of Ahoskie, N.C., and Dorothy Frank, of Bronx, N.Y.; grandson, Larkin A. Skeeter (LaDrina); two granddaughters, Delana A. Green (Shawn) and Alfreda Russell; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Mt. Ararat Christian Church, 1860 Airport Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. The Rev. Dr. Murrill will be the eulogist, and she will be laid to rest in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 2228 Skeetertown Road.
