The Virginia Cities Fall Basketball League has announced its 2015 schedule, and it will consist of eight girls’ youth basketball teams, including two from Suffolk and two from Virginia Beach.

One of the two Suffolk squads will feature the remaining players from last season’s tournament champions, but both teams will have plenty of new girls.

“The community in Suffolk is starting to really get behind this league,” stated coach Tom Lewis, who has coached the Suffolk Lady Storm for several years.

Now Lewis and Letwa Gooden will coach one of the Suffolk teams while the other will be led by Wayne Copeland and Morris Johnson.

All league games will be played at Creekside Recreation Center, 1000 Bennetts Creek Park Road. Yet to be announced is the location of the all-star game with the accompanying three—point and free throw competitions that will take place on Oct. 17.
